Welcome Hudson David

He's here! Hudson made his grand appearance March 3, 2012 at 5:07 am.  He was 7 lbs. 1 oz and 20 inches long.  Here's how it all happened...
I had been having contractions on and off for about a week.  They were tricky!  On Friday night I started having them again babout 7 minutes apart for an hour and a half, but I was so confused because they weren't severe yet.  We were getting ready to go to my mom and dad's for dinner so we brought our bags just in case.  I didn't really think we'd end up in the hospital, but we did!  It was another windy night this time, just like when Reese was born, so crazy!  There was walking, checking, and decision making.  Thankfully Dr. Thomas was on call and we finally decided to break my water.  It was all so laid back this time.

Hudson's heart rate and my blood pressure dropped a bit during labor, but it regulated itself out and went very well!  Our nurse, Megan, was amazing and we're actually friends on facebook now..ha!  God has really blessed us with some wonderful people at Dupont Hospital.

Hudson is a beautiful little boy who looks just like his daddy.  When he was born we both said how much he looks like his grandpa.  He didn't look like Reese to me at first, but now I definitly think he does through the eyes and forehead when his eyes are closed.

We had some visitors in the hospital and very sweet family and friends showering us with gifts and food:)

When we came home it felt so wonderful to get all four of us together.  We saved the cake they gave us at the hospital so we could sing happy birthday to Hudson.  Reese loved it!

Reese has been so good with him too.  She is so gentle, loves giving him kisses on his head, and always makes sure he has his bunny.

It really just feels like he's always been here.  Our family really does feel more complete.  Thank you God for such a beautiful baby boy and for allowing me to be home for five months to enjoy this priceless time.
