my friend keelin is amazing...she wrote this poem in remembrance of college...friends for a lifetime. i want to make sure i never lose this...

The Mit
Sometimes I pretend
I am not here,
I am
Back
A few years
In the Mit

Don’t fret,
I like where
I am now
But I like to go
Back

On
The days of
Grey skies and
Snow
I fall in love
With it all
again

Piles of white
Friends close
I didn’t love it
Enough
For what it was
Or
Could be

No worries of
Money, debt or
Dipper’s
Just white
Breezes &
Love

Bonds made over coco
&
Other things
More often than not

Stealing sandwiches
Borrowing clothes
Making each other
Cry or
Laugh
Till sleep
Or not

Each individual
Like waves
That break
The beach



But we brought
Love
Joy &
Difference
To the table

I learned life,
And wouldn’t
Be the same
Ever

Still often, I think
Of going back
But it wouldn’t
And isn’t
The same
But for luck
And life
I still
Go back
To those days
But most,
I go back
To the
Women
Who made
Me

For they always
Make me feel
Like
Home
